Control Systems Technologist
Experience:
- PLC programming and troubleshooting; Industrial networks; Instrumentation
Major Work Area:
- Programming, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing complex automated manufacturing systems composed of AB PLC Controls, Plant PCs, Industrial networks, and instrument devices.
Area of Specialization:
- Program, Install, examine, replace or repair Logix Controllers and remotely connected automation systems.
Type of Equipment:
- AB Programmable logic controls, Device Net, Conveyors, Automated equipment, Instrument devices, VFDs, Power supplies, Plant PCs, RSLinx, RSLogix, Proficy.
Specific Skills:
- Ability to conceptualize automated processes from a system level and then apply troubleshooting paradigms to that system. Analytical approach to root-cause analysis.
Additional Skills:
- Read blueprints, prepare reports for non technical audiences, sketch industrial network topology.
Essential Skills: 
- Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Aptitude in mathematics and measurement
