Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul
Area of Specialization: Adjusting machinery and equipment, Start-up and testing, Troubleshooting. Experience with Forklifts an asset.
Type of Industry/Work Setting Experience: Food and beverage processing
Type of Machinery or Equipment: Conveyors, Pumps and Compressors, Hoists and other lifting devices, Grinders, Heat exchangers, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Power transmission systems, High speed packaging equipment
Specific Skills: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Repair or replace defective machinery parts, Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices, Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
