The Corporation
Whissell Contracting Calgary Ltd. has been providing quality construction services to southern Alberta for over 30 years. During that time we have successfully completed hundreds of projects varying in size and scope for both the public and private sector. Today we are regarded as a leader in our industry, with a reputation for quality, integrity, safety and customer satisfaction. We provide General Contracting services, expertise in Underground Infrastructure Development, Trucking and Hauling services and Equipment Contracting and Rentals. Our people combine decades of experience with dedication to respond to the changing needs of our valued clients. Major clients include land developers, municipal governments, oil and gas industry and other private sectors.
Whissell is committed to excellence with continuous investment in our facilities, equipment and people. Our corporate headquarters is located in south east Calgary. The facility was built in 1999 and includes 9,500 square feet of office space and 11,000 square feet of shop space. We continually update and maintain our equipment fleet allowing us to provide reliable and cost effective service. Investment in our people includes training in safety and industry best practices. Additionally we have built strong relationships with our suppliers, financial, insurance and bonding partners allowing us greater flexibility in serving our clients. Finally, Whissell has invested in their industry with memberships to the Canadian Construction Association, Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association, Merit Contractors Association, Calgary Construction Association and Urban Development Institute (associate).
